A new life for an sledge
Discovered a 12lb rusted and broken sledge hammer head at a car boot sale. With a bit of work and elbow grease this has now been restored and given a whole new life.
Step 1: The dead sledge
The sledge was completely rusted and the handle was broken and rotted. And so it began.....
Step 2: Elbow grease
A lot of sandpaper and elbow grease was used to remove years of rust.
Step 3: A new life for Percy the Sledge
I made a handle from an old piece of timber I had lying around. Percy was finished with a spray of wd40 to bring out a lovely patina.
