Bathroom Renovation

Plus 12 more

After noticing a wet stain on the sitting room ceiling I was prompted into an urgent bathroom renovation.
I noticed the old grout was cracked and the likely source of the leak, and once I started removing tiles I discovered the plasterboard behind the showerhead/taps was completely soaked, as well as the floor under the bath.
I removed the rest of the tiles, damaging the bath in the process, and proceeded to cut out the old plasterboard.
I then installed tile backer board, sealed the joints, tanked the area, fitted and connected the (new) bath to the existing plumbing, cut and installed the 4' x2' tiles all by myself.
I'm an insurance broker for my day job so this is all completely amateur with the aid of YouTube and some helpful websites/people in Grange and Screwfix for advice.
Also, baby number 2 is due at the end of August so this urgent addition to my to-do list was not welcome!
Naturally WD-40 was an ever present companion, helping with squeaky and stiff tools, stuck pipe joints, and covering the lingering smell of mould on the the walls behind the tiles.
