Bike Restoration

My old bike had been gathering dust in the shed for ages. I always put off getting it fixed by a mechanic because the quotes were always so expensive, especially since the chain and gears were completely rusted and beyond saving.

So, I decided to give it a go myself! It was a chance to learn how bikes work, which I'd never done before. First thing was loads of WD40 to get rid of all the rust from the last three years – seriously, it was like magic! Eventually, I managed to put in the new parts and get the bike running again. I couldn't have done it without all the bits and pieces I've picked up from Mr. Price over time (see my toolkit!). Mr. Price is a brilliant spot to start fixing things yourself; they've got pretty much everything you need for a great price. I always have a look around when I'm there – you never know what you might find!"
