Don't stair too hard!

We purchased a house in very poor condition last year. One of the first jobs was pulling up all the old, dirty carpet. A knackered wooden staircase appeared and we got stuck in. Scraping, sanding, pulling staples, hammering in exposed nails. Once we had a nice surface the next step was varnish and polish. The underside of each step painted white. All in all, we are happy with the result!
