Dressing Table Rescue

Plus 1 more

I found an Edwardian dressing table in a shop that came from a vacated apartment. It had sadly been painted with grey chalk paint. I didn't get a picture of it grey - I was far too eager to see what condition it was in underneath. When I stripped back the grey paint, It was pretty scuffed up and the french polish was damaged. I disassembled it and got to work with stripping the old lacquer and rest of the embedded paint. It was weeks and weeks of work. There were a lot of ingrained dark stains so I chose to go.eith an ebony stain to even it out before apple the lacquer. It went from the bin to and now loved piece of furniture that is used by me everyday. My favourite piece in the house!
