Old school desks
Plus 10 more
Hi, so the attached photos are old school lockers from St John of Gods school Kilkenny . Lucky my wife works there and gave me the heads up on these before they were dumped , so I scraped off all the years of varnish with Stanley blades by hand , needed sanding , tops readjusted and re glued … wanted to keep some of the original marks , really soaked in ink form desks which we worked out are about 60 years old , what’re oak quarter sawn wood in the legs , tops I’m not too sure , finished with Danish oil and bringing a piece (well 4 pieces of history tell g the truth where my wife went to school, still works there and my daughter attends there now too…..
